ATMs are available at the Check-In areas. Currency Exchange Services are located in the Food Court, and in the arrivals terminal. The Dominican Republic currency is the Dominican peso, though the U.S. dollar is also commonly accepted throughout the region.
To enter the Dominican Republic, a valid passport with two blank pages is required. At the customs and immigration desk, you'll receive a 30-day tourist card (US$10 fee) instead of a visa. By Dominican law, there's also a US$20 departure tax, the cost of which is usually included in your airfare (verify with your carrier). Some visitors may need additional travel documents; check local restrictions. In general, the Dominican CESAC security procedures at Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) follow the same guidelines as U.S. or European airports.
