Punta Cana is located on the east coast of the Dominican Republic. Via the new Coral Highway (Autovía del Coral), it’s less than two hours from Santo Domingo and 35 minutes from La Romana.
Driving Directions from Santo Domingo:
Take Autopista Las Americas. Pass by Boca Chica and Juan Dolio, then take Autopista del Este and the Autovía del Coral which connects you through La Romana (you must pass through the city) directly to the road that leads to the Puntacana International Airport.
Punta Cana International Airport is 35 min from La Romana and less than 2 hrs from Santo Domingo.
