The Dominican Republic is home to a rich, warm culture. Spanish is the native language for most of the country’s friendly residents who you might see dancing to the island’s famous meringue music around town or at one of the many colorful Carnival festivals. If you visit, be sure to indulge in some fine Dominican cuisine. Delicious meals spun from plantains, deep-fried meats and a variety of local herbs and spices. And no dinner would be complete without a famous Dominican rum and finely rolled cigar.
Surely, though, the only way to get a sense of the vibrancy and liveliness of the Dominican culture is to come experience it for yourself.
