Grupo Puntacana is pleased to offer a range of volunteer positions that support our mission to protect and restore the natural resources and improve the health and wellbeing of communities of the region Verón - Punta Cana.

WHO CAN VOLUNTEER

Groups
We provide all the facilities available to make your Group Program possible. Friends, Family or Companies can apply to any of our volunteer programs. Puntacana Resort & Club offers great services and accommodations at any of our hotels. Groups can choose from our community programs to environmental programs to help us improve the sustainable development of the Verón – Punta Cana region.

Students
Learning through our culture and environment also can be fun, if you want to dedicate your Spring Break vacations to help others, we will make sure you’ll have the best experience. Facilities are available in any of our hotels.

Individuals
Personal participation can be possible, don’t worry about volunteering alone. We have great staff that will join you, also we have other eco tour activities in Puntacana Resort & Club from; Segway, Stand up & Paddle, Guided Eco Tour, among others.

Medical Mission

It includes volunteer service in the Public Clinic of Verón, which provides medical care to the less fortunate people of the region Punta Cana and whose management is under the Ministry of Public Health of the Dominican Republic, Grupo Puntacana and Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM).

Location: Verón, 20 minutes by car from Puntacana Resort & Club. This program is available for the full year.

Educational Day

This program includes (but is not limited to): English lessons as a second language, lectures, workshops of art and music.

Location: Ann & Ted Kheel Polytechnic in Verón, the only community center secondary and technical education of the tourist area. Distance from Puntacana Resort & Club: 20 minutes by car. Blackout dates: May 15th until August 30th / December 1st until January 7th /Holly week.

Clinic Sport

Games sports exchange (all disciplines) with the local community.

Location: Ann & Ted Kheel Polytechnic in Verón. Distance from Puntacana Resort & Club: 20 minutes. Blackout dates: May 15th to August 30th / December 1st until January 7th / Holly week.

Childcare Yess Kinder

Assist in the daily activities of the center: Child feeding, recreation with children, and educational work, amongst others.

Place: Pueblo Bávaro Distance in time from Puntacana Resort & Club: 15 minutes Blackout dates: Dominican Holidays / December 1st until January 7th / Holly week.

Nuestra Señora del Carmen Nursing Home

Assist in the daily activities of the center: including support and assistance to residents, recreational activities, amongst others.

Location: Higüey Distance in time from Puntacana Resort & Club: 40 minutes. Blackout dates: Dominican Holidays / December 1st until January 7th / Holly week.

La Milagrosa Maternal and Child Center

Assist in the daily activities of the center: Child feeding, recreation with children, and educational work, amongst others.

Place: Higüey Distance in time from Puntacana Resort & Club: 40 minutes Blackout dates: Dominican Holidays / December 1st until January 7th / Holly week.

Coral Reef Restauration Program

The Coral First Aid Specialty Course educates divers on the importance of coral reefs, particularly in developing countries, and attempts to explain some of the reasons for the continuing depletion of the world’s coral. The course provides awareness by teaching divers the principles and techniques of one successful tool used to support coral reef restoration.

Hours: The program can be completed over 2 days. Prerequisites: PADI Open Water diver or equivalency rating from another scuba certification agency and 10 logged dives.
