Puntacana Resort & Club receives certification for excellent hygiene and safety protocols in two of its properties

PUNTA CANA- Tortuga Bay & The Westin Puntacana Resort & Club received the certification issued by the General Board of Hygiene and Industrial Safety of the Ministry of Labor of the Dominican Republic. This certification was granted to businesses in the tourism sector that comply with the established recommendations for the prevention of the spread of the COVID-19. The hotels were inspected by the ministry to verify that they fully comply with all the protocols and recommendations established to prevent the spread of the virus, both in associates and guests.

Punta Cana Airport’s automated border checks speed passengers’ journey

PUNTA CANA – XX November 2018 – Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ), the busiest airport in the Dominican Republic, is using SITA’s Automated Border Control Gates to automate the border process for passengers from the US and Canada, as well as Spain, UK, and France as they leave the country.


Every year for the last 13 years, Grupo Puntacana celebrates “Carnaval de Punta Cana”. The annual parade consists on a two-day celebration the 1st week of February at the Boulevard 1ero de Noviembre, located in Puntacana Village, opposite to the Punta Cana International Airport. The celebration begins with a parade of international troupes; which delegations come from Aruba, Curacao, Haiti and Saint Martin, as well as a selection of the best troupes from the Dominican Republic.
