Chef Jaime Rodríguez Brings Celele’s Innovation to the 4th Edition of Culinary Weekend Punta Cana
Punta Cana, La Altagracia. – Puntacana Resort will launch Pádel Week on December 16 at the Oscar de la Renta Tennis Center, in collaboration with LUX Tennis. The event will bring together top professional players Coki Nieto and Alfonso Sánchez for a week of training sessions, competition, and exclusive experiences.
Before and during the tournament, participants will have access to small-group practice sessions (maximum three players per session) led by Nieto—currently ranked No. 7 in the world—and Sánchez, ranked No. 171 in the global standings.
The tournament will take place on December 18, 19, 20, and 21. The awards ceremony is scheduled for 6:00 PM on the final day and will include the presence of Nieto and Sánchez. After the ceremony, both athletes will play an exhibition match alongside the LUX Padel coach and a local guest player.
Practice sessions begin on December 16 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with Alfonso Sánchez (4×30-minute sessions, maximum three players per session). On December 17, Coki Nieto will lead training from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM (3×30-minute sessions).
Additional sessions continue on December 18 with Sánchez (4×30 minutes) and on December 19 with Nieto from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM (3×30 minutes).
To close the week, a meet & greet will be held on December 21 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, giving participants the opportunity to meet both athletes and take photos.
About Coki Nieto
Jorge “Coki” Nieto (Madrid, 1999) is considered one of the most reliable and tactically intelligent players in modern professional padel. Trained at Fundación Damm, he developed in a high-performance environment that strengthened his tactical reading, solid backhand, and calm but competitive mindset.
His first major international achievement came in 2021 when he became World Champion with the Spanish National Team.

Born in Valladolid in 1998, Alfonso Sánchez stood out from a young age, earning regional titles across all junior categories and more than thirty national victories, including the prestigious TYC Premium 3 in 2014. He was also runner-up in Spain’s youth championship, positioning him as one of the leading prospects of his generation.
His career has shown steady progression, highlighted by winning the Castilla y León Absolute Championship in 2023. Known for his aggressive playing style, quick movement, and exceptional wall drop shot, Sánchez has reached his highest professional ranking to date: No. 171 in the world.
