Puntacana Resort Celebrated High-Level Padel at the Closing of Its First Padel Week with International Athletes
Punta Cana, La Altagracia. – Puntacana Resort successfully celebrated the closing of its first Padel Week, an event that over several days turned the Oscar de la Renta Tennis Center into the epicenter of padel in the Dominican Republic, bringing together local players, special guests, and prominent figures from the international professional circuit.
The week featured the standout participation of Spanish player Coki Nieto, currently ranked No. 7 in the International Padel Federation rankings, who shared his experience and talent through clinics, practice sessions, and close interactions with players and fans, directly contributing to the growth and visibility of padel in the country. Alongside him, Alfonso Sánchez, ranked 171st internationally, was also part of the sports agenda, strengthening the technical and competitive exchange of the event.
During his stay at the resort, Nieto highlighted the excellence of the facilities and the quality of the service received, emphasizing the privileged setting in which the event took place. “The week we spent at Puntacana Resort was simply wonderful. The complex is spectacular, the facilities are top-level, and the treatment we received was exceptional from the very first moment. In the Men’s Category B, Juan Peralta and Luis Aybar claimed the championship, while in the Men’s Category C, the champions were Marcel Santana and Juan Moreno.
The women’s competition also shone brightly. In the Women’s Category B, Belén Ibáñez and Yuli Trouvé were crowned champions after a strong performance, while in the Women’s Category C, the title went to Nicole Goyco and Patrizia Magnífico.
