Punta Cana, La Altagracia. — As is tradition each year, Puntacana Resort celebrated the holiday season and the arrival of the New Year with a special agenda of social, sports, gastronomic, and cultural activities, designed for the enjoyment of property owners, guests, and visitors, in a family-friendly atmosphere that reflects the spirit and essence of the destination. Throughout the month of December, the Puntacana Resort community came together to enjoy experiences that combined tradition, elegance, and entertainment. One of the most anticipated events was the Christmas Bazaar at The Village Puntacana Shopping Galleries, which celebrated more than 18 years of history by bringing together local artisans, culinary offerings, live music, and activities for the whole family, strengthening the sense of community that characterizes the resort. The celebrations continued with special gatherings such as the traditional Puntacana Resort Christmas Cocktail, elegant evenings that provided spaces for connection and celebration in an exclusive and festive atmosphere. Sports programming played a prominent role with events that are already part of the resort’s identity, including the Oscar de la Renta Social Tournament and the Christmas padel tournaments, held at the Oscar de la Renta Tennis Center, reaffirming Puntacana Resort’s commitment to sports, active living, and community development. Likewise, the Padel Week at Puntacana Resort was celebrated for the first time at the Oscar de la Renta Tennis Center, in collaboration with LUX Tennis. The event featured the participation of renowned international athletes such as Coki Nieto, current world number 7, and Alfonso Sánchez, ranked 171 on the international padel circuit, who led a week of training sessions, competitions, and exclusive experiences for participants. In the gastronomic sphere, the season included special offerings at the resort’s various restaurants, as well as high-level experiences such as the Puntacana Resort Culinary Weekend, which in this edition presented “Colombian Flavors – Avant-garde,” an experience led by chef Jaime Rodríguez from the renowned Celele restaurant in Cartagena, recognized among The World’s 50 Best Restaurants. The event, held at Tortuga Bay Puntacana, further positioned the destination as a benchmark for world-class culinary experiences. Cultural traditions were also part of the agenda, with activities such as the Christmas Concert at the Nuestra Señora de Puntacana Chapel, celebrating the customs that bring the community together during this special time of year. During an evening accompanied by cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, the boutique of renowned Colombian designer Silvia Tcherassi, located at Tortuga Bay Puntacana, hosted its traditional Christmas cocktail. To close out the year, families and visitors enjoyed Polo Day at the Puntacana Polo Club, an afternoon that combined live sports, music, and family-friendly activities, before giving way to the New Year’s celebrations. The arrival of 2026 was welcomed with the traditional New Year’s Dinner Party, a gala evening featuring dinner, live music, entertainment, and fireworks in true Puntacana Resort style, followed by the New Year’s Beach Bash, which celebrated the first sunrise of the year by the sea in a relaxed and festive atmosphere. With this program, Puntacana Resort reaffirms its commitment to offering memorable experiences that celebrate tradition, gastronomy, sports, and community life, while preserving its essence of hospitality, natural elegance, and sustainability.
