Puntacana Resort announces 8th edition of the Corales Puntacana Championship PGA Tour Event

Punta Cana, La Altagracia. - With 300 points valid for the FedExCup and the participation of 132 players from 20 countries and 5 continents, Puntacana Resort announces the celebration of the 8th edition of the Corales Puntacana Championship PGA Tour Event, to be held at the Corales golf course, from April 14-20, 2025.

In 2024, American Billy Horschel won his eighth PGA Tour victory, after triumphing in the seventh edition of the tournament. With his victory, Horschel won a cash prize of US$720,000.00 of the US$4.0 million total purse of the event.

The PGA Tour is the premier North American men's professional golf circuit in the world, with more than 175 tournaments held on six international tours.

About Corales Golf Course

The Corales Golf Course, located at Puntacana Resort, is home to the first and only PGA Tour Event in the Dominican Republic. It was designed by world-renowned architect Tom Fazio. Opened in 2010, it is located next to the cliffs, bays, natural ocean inlets, inland lakes and coral quarries of the Caribbean Sea.

It has 18 holes, six of them facing the sea and culminates with its last three holes known as the “Devil's Elbow”, which ranks among the most spectacular and difficult finishing holes in the world.
